After years of listening to “sports analyst” express their opinions about what’s happening in the sports world, I decided that it would be refreshing to present a different point of view: The View from the top is that of a woman who lives and breathes sports.
Some of you may ask: “What qualifies you to speak on the topic of sports?” Well, my father was an avid baseball fan and I have a brother who coached high school football for over 30 years. He has a stadium named after him and he was a contributing writer of the book entitled “Gridiron Gold.” I grew up in a household where sports was important and a topic of conversation on a daily basis. As a result of my family dynamic, my interest in sports continued to grow even as I became an adult.
My passion for sports is so engulfing that, I changed my cable service from Time Warner to Direct TV so that I could watch all of the NFL games. Currently, I am reading the 2013 Official Playing Rules of the National Football League to be better informed about the rules.
For my readers, it is my hope that you find my point of view as a way of seeing what’s really happening in the sports world. My blog post will incorporate research, historical analysis and a good dose of humor that will make you think and say ahhh.
